Legendary
jazz guitarist Grant Green, Jr. and Col. Bruce Hampton have
played together on JamCruise, at the Magnolia Festival, and
most recently opening for The Wood Brothers at The Variety
Playhouse in Atlanta, GA.
Grant
Green, Jr. is the son of jazz legend Grant Green and has without
question inherited his father's musical chops. Grant has recorded
several major label CD's and been a regular in the New York
City jazz clubs for years. He also records and tours with
the band The Godfathers of Groove, featuring Bernard Purdie
and Rueben Wilson.

Col. Bruce Hampton has been a fixture of the Atlanta music
scene since he formed his first band in 1963. He's known for
assembling bands that explore all avenues of bluegrass, jazz,

Together Grant and Bruce have wowed audiences with their funk
and soul take on original and classic songs. They share singing
duties, swapping Grant's deep, rich growl with Bruce's blues-tinged
mania.
After three years of successful shows, Grant Green, Jr. and
Col. Bruce Hampton are officially playing as a duo.
